About this place
Stepping past the hidden door disguised as a bookshelf reveals a quiet interior far removed from the surrounding streets. Located on the 1th floor of Otemachi Modern Building in Kanda-Nishikicho, STORIARE builds its multi-course menus on classical Italian culinary technique infused with Japanese traditions such as dashi broths and fermentation. Meals begin with a bowl of house-made dashi, whose savory warmth settles the palate and sets the tone for the courses to come.
Among the kitchen's standout creations is the signature octopus ragù pasta. Braised long and slow until tender, the octopus imparts a concentrated, savory depth that clings tightly to every strand. The rich seafood character unfolds with each bite, and diners can use the light, chewy house-made focaccia—baked to suit the day's humidity—to sweep up every drop of sauce left on the plate.
For the main course, fillet of Mogami beef from Yamagata Prefecture is roasted to a tender, rosy finish. The finely textured beef cuts effortlessly, releasing clean, sweet meat juices and a refined savoriness. Other courses celebrate clear, defined flavors, ranging from pancetta carbonara fragrant with shaved black truffle to carpaccio showcasing pristine fresh fish.
Seating includes counter positions with direct views into the open kitchen, as well as private rooms suited to gatherings and celebrations. Diners can pair their courses with Franciacorta or a curated wine progression, while non-alcoholic choices like house-made amazake lemon soda ensure every guest can settle into the meal's narrative.
